He labeled the vertebrae, pelvis, ribs, femur, fibia, tibula, humerus, radius, ulna and sternum. Jonathan worked on some facts about bones in the human body. He learned that there are more than 300 bones in the baby's body, but 206 bones in the adult because some bones fuze together as the person grows. Jonathan learned that calcium in milk is an important nutrient needed by the body to grow bones. He also learned that exercise helps to keep bones healthy.
