GT was instructed to build a table of the taxonomy of Animals. In the first column, he listed the Phyla, then Class, followed by common name, characteristics, and notes. We then reviewed the Sponges, filling in the table as we discussed. We then reviewed Cnidarians (anemones, jellies and corals) and then the Worms (round, flat and segmented). We continued our lesson by introducing the Phyla: Molluscs, and the three Classes (gastropods, bivalves, and cephalopods).
