Lesson Outline
Zeta went over and completed the free verse poem she was assigned for homework. A couplet, a two line poem that rhymes and has the same number of syllables in both lines, was introduced. Zeta did well creating the second line to the first line of given couplets. For homework, Zeta will write two couplets. Alliteration was reviewed. Zeta read a passage about Cinco de Mayo and answered questions about the text. She earned a 100% on the first part of a grammar quiz. Zeta continues to practice keyboarding. We read the next chapter in 'Al Capone Shines My Shoes'. Focus was on foreshadowing, cause and effect and figurative language.
