Teddy took his spelling test. Libby took her spelling test. She read a story about "Jack the Cat." She recognized, discussed, and answered questions about the story details in "Jack the Cat." She completed several activities using and writing sentences.

PJ completed his Spelling and Wordly Wise tests. He reviewed and discussed his homework questions pertaining to "To Kill a Mockingbird." He was assigned questions over Chapters 22-25 of 'To Kill a Mockingbird," due Tuesday, Sept. 16th.

We went over his spelling homework from last night. He answered written question about the story we read yesterday pertaining to the horror genre. We discussed the MLA use of source citation in literature. We reviewed the use of commas and suffixes. He read the story, "The Tiger's Whiskers," and answered in completed sentences written comprehension questions about the details in the article.

Teddy completed his interactive calendar. He read and discussed story details for his 4 stories "Jack Can," "Nat and Sam," "Six Kids," and "Go Pip." He read a fantasy story about the characters Tip and Pip and discussed the sequence and key details from the story. He completed several activities demonstrating his knowledge and understanding of what a sentence is, the proper order of the words in a sentence, and the correct punctuation. He used his spelling words and wrote 6 sentences. He worked on an activity using the word family ip.

Libby completed her interactive calendar. She read her spelling words and wrote 6 sentences using her spelling words. She read and discussed the story details for her story "Jack Can." She practiced reading short a and short i words.

Pj Went over his spelling homework. He completed an activity demonstrating his ability to recognize the difference between a common noun and a proper noun. He worked on a lesson distinguishing the difference between a verb in the active and passive voice. We began a study of the horror genre. We discussed in detail the elements that compose a horror story.
