We examined the phyla: Echinoderm, which consists of four classes: Crustacean, Chelicerata, Insects, and Myriapod including starfish, sea cucumbers, and urchins. GT watched the shape of life introduction to the class: Echinoderms. GT was given a text to read about the internal structures of the starfish, and we watched a dissection of a starfish on-line. We talked about how sea cucumbers and sea urchins are similar to each other, and how all echinoderms are based on the shape of a pentagon star. We watched film about a virus that has become epidemic among starfish and is still a deadly issue for the phyla.Homework: review invertebrates.
