Nicole and I spent some time getting her set up on Kindle plus Audible, which will enable her to listen to her summer reading book, follow along with the text, and take notes on her computer. We even found a font called "open dyslexic," which purports to be more comfortable for people with dyslexia to read. We listened/read two chapters; Nicole took notes and highlighted quotes of interest. I feel that Nicole is prepared to complete her summer reading independently and tackle English 9 assignments next year with excellent tools in place. Tomorrow we will return to OG lessons and her compare-contrast essay.
