TEAMS: Taxonomy / Animals - Chordata
GT was given an comprehensive exam on Invertebrates. We then watched the final ‘Shape of Life’ video, this one illustrating the evolutionary changes and advantages of the Phyla Chordata, which includes all animals with a notochord, a dorsal nerve chord, at tail, a mouth and anus, and pharyngeal slits. We set up GT’s notebook to prepare for this next unit. We briefly talked about the two ‘invertebrate chordates’ and the truism: all vertebrates are chordates, but not all chordates are vertebrates’.
