TEAMS: - Dragons and proteins -
Continuing with the Geniventure game. Yanuell was shown how proteins are used inside a cell, to direct a trait. He was shown how some proteins help a skin color, while others inhibit a skin color. He learned how they are delivered in the body of the cell, and can be used together to achieve a desired effect. He was shown how they can be turned on or off, before asked to change the color of a ‘lava’ (orange) dragon, to a ‘slate’ (gray) dragon, and then into a ‘frost’ (albino) dragon. Finally Yanuell was directed to make permanent changes by controlling proteins in the nucleus of the cell, instead of the cell body. Throughout the game, each trait is associated with benefits to the cause (horns help pilots direct and hold on to the dragon, while hornless dragons were more popular at the pet stores, which supported the genetic research.
