TEAMS: Taxonomy / Animals - Behavior -
Today GT completed a comprehensive exam on the Animal kingdom. We then continued a discussion on the advances in cognition that evolved with the classes. The mammal brain has more areas dedicated to learning. We explored the cerebrum and the ability for higher forms of memory. We then examined animal behavior, from innate, to acquired, to learned. Using marine mammals we explored examples of each behavior, and discussed how they always relate to reproductive success. We made plans for our field trip this weekend.
