Lesson Outline
Hank reviewed the three types of figurative language we have practiced before learning what hyperbole is. He practiced using hyperbole in his own sentences and identifying it in others.
We continued reading "Wonder" from Jack Will's point of view. Hank is anxious to hear what Jack Will has to say about his hurtful comments on Halloween. Jack Will's response to Mr.Tushman's request to show Auggie around was surprising. We learn that Jack Will has had an early encounter with Auggie that left him feeling uncomfortable around him. Reading the story from so many points of view uncovers the inside stories of each character.
