Hank learned about the fifth type of figurative language today, personification. He practiced identifying the object being personified and the human quality that the object was given. He also identified examples and non-examples. We read two more chapters of 'Wonder' from Jack's point of view. Our surprise from Tuesday's reading was clarified today, but Jack's feelings confuse us once again. He claims he would choose Auggie as a friend before all other fifth grade boys, but he behaves as if he doesn't care that they are ex-friends. Hank predicts that the boys will resolve their conflict, but he isn't sure how it will come about.
