I began with a review of the sound deck with auditory and blending drills. Wyatt correctly recalled 4/4 taught spellings of /A/, 2/4 spellings of /E/, 2/3 spellings of /f/, 3/3 spellings of /k/, and 2/2 spellings of /w/. I taught the vowel team oa, identifying where the grapheme is found in a word. Wyatt read example words. We co-read a chapter of the decodable book "Green Fern Zoo: Things with Wings." To conclude, we played a game of tic-tac-toe with various vowel teams.
