After a little conversation time about his plans for the upcoming weekend, we watched most of the Easy German video: What would you change in your life? We addressed unfamiliar vocabulary and briefly reviewed the past conditional.

Lesson Outline
Continue to practice knowing the letter symbols and their sounds out of order of the alphabet. Reread The Red Hen Fell. Point out sight words we have learned as well as decoding the short -e words. Use magnet letters to work on figuring out the initial and final sounds in the words from the story. Write the words as well.
Review spelling words and their meanings. Work on sheet to match words to their sentences. Review commas in a series and introduce commas used in dates and for cities and states. Complete practice sheet.

Review the letter digraphs and practice saying the sounds for the beginning and endings of words. Practice long vowel sounds for two vowels together and VCe words. Read Frog and Toad story. Practice sight words for the week and play sight word game. Use magnet letters to build words based on their sounds.
