I began with a review of the sound deck with visual and blending drills. The sound deck was the same as the last session; words on the blending board included wait, wail, waif, waist. I introduced the grapheme oi as a new concept. Using PowerPoint slides, I demonstrated the placement in words, and Wyatt read example words. We co-read a decodable book, "Gull Talk."
