Math – Jonathan was introduced to counting coins. He is proficient in counting 10 pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. Next he identified each coin value and what is printed on each side. Jonathan practiced making change with real coins.
Science – We worked on a STEM project involving creativity in the design process. Next we read the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. Then we talked about how being a STEM engineer requires creativity and thinking of new ways to do things. Next we changed ordinary circles into other objects. This was something Jonathan really enjoyed because he loves to draw. He was encouraged to add many details and color.
