It was a pleasure to meet Kip online today. I explained to him that I would be helping him with reading and spelling. We picked a book to read together, Ranger in Time. I shared the book on the screen, and we discussed the cover illustration, author, and illustrator. We co-read part of chapter one and realized that the book is set in the late 1800s. A father and son are traveling by covered wagon to Oregon. We paused to locate Oregon on a map. Kip left the session early to attend the Busch Wildlife presentation. We will continue tomorrow.
