The function and location of latitude and longitude lines were reviewed. Kelcy enjoyed an activity where 'alphanumeric coordinates' were used in a zoo setting. He did well determining what exhibits were located at given coordinates and, conversely, the coordinates of different locations at the zoo. Additionally, we watched CNN10, a daily ten minute video about current events written for students. Today's topics included clips from President Biden's speech on foreign policy, the effects of the recent nor'easter and a the new sport of Teqball. The video was used as a springboard for more in depth discussion and explanation of current events.
