We started outside with the group Valentines activity but Christopher preferred to go indoors, so we went inside and compared interesting things on both of our MacBooks. I shared images and videos that I have taken underwater in Madagascar, pointing out hard corals and soft sponges. We put this into context of animal versus plant cells since corals and sponges are sessile animals. Animal cells have cell membranes but plant cells have cell walls.
Since this is our first time learning together, we also looked at some Marvel and Sonic illustrations and worked in photoshop to modify images from the internet. I work in PS pretty frequently. Christopher learned how to crop an image to only the part needing edits, so that editing in detail is easier. I was happy to see how computer literate he is and how quickly he could find images he wants by changing up search options on Google.
