After brief introductions, Kip and I worked from his science book. We finished two pages together discussing the phenomenon of leaves changing in the fall focusing on cause and effect relationships. He was able to order a list of events based on these relationships.

In between science pages, we practiced juggling. After the pages, he showed his prowess as a burgeoning chess wizard.
