Math – Jonathan learned that 100 can be thought of as a bundle of 10 tens. Then he calculated how many bundles of 10 in several three digit numbers. Then he determined how many ones and hundreds in several three digit numbers. Then he modeled three digit numbers with ones, tens, and hundreds blocks. He has a good grasp of numeration into the hundreds.
Science – Jonathan learned to identify the clouds based on their shape and coverage. He learned that clouds form when water vapor in the air condenses to form liquid water or ice crystals. Next he learned that precipitation is water in liquid or solid form that falls from the atmosphere as rain, sleet, freezing rain, snow, or hail.
