I began with a review of the sound deck with visual, auditory, and blending drills. Graphemes included ee, g, ir, oo, ph, ea, ur, ai, or, er, ay, oa, ow. I revisited ow /O/ and /ow/ grapheme, dictating words. I reviewed the drop e and doubling spelling rules. Kip has mastered the drop e rule; I need to re-teach the doubling rule. I introduced oi /oi/ as a new concept, demonstrating its placement in a word. Kip read example words. To conclude, we co-read two chapters of the novel Ranger.
