Lesson Outline
Richard was greeted in the lobby area on time by SLP. He was in a good mood and appeared well rested and focused. He was excited to talk about his Easter plans this weekend with his cousins/grandparents. This was a good opportunity to target rate of speech and articulation in conversation since this was a topic of interest. Richard continues to require moderate support in this area. We followed the conversational task with date/days of week. Richard was excited about it being a new month and he answered all questions about date/days of week independently. Following that task, Richard requested to read a book. He was able to recall information, while working on vocabulary and auditory comprehension. He continues to demonstrate difficulty with possessives in unstructured tasks. However with minimal cues, he will correct himself. Although Richard is demonstrating some difficulty with executive functioning tasks, he is making progress in the area of speech. We will continue to work on social interactions in addition to speech, language, and overall executive functioning.
