Lesson Outline
Richard was greeted on time in his classroom. He was in a happy mood. We started the session with a less structured day of the week/date task. Richard did well with this task which involves writing as well. Following the orientation task, possessive nouns was targeted in both structured and unstructured settings. He completed 3/6 accurately. The topic of conversation while targeting rate of speech, /s/ in conversation, sequencing/executive function, and word recall was baking. We did research online to find a recipe for rice crispy treats. Richard shows much interest in baking therefore it was a great opportunity to target many of his speech and language goals. Richard continues to make progress in the area of speech. His rate of speech and /s/ in conversational speech requires mild to moderate cues. Language and pragmatic skills are also being targeted in the context of therapy. He has been compliant and applying feedback when needed. A book was read aloud to conclude the session.
