letters, fine motor activities, phonics and making inferences
Lesson Outline
Jack enjoyed using curved and straight pieces of wood to make the letters of the alphabet. He worked carefully to trace non straight, dotted lines. He did well choosing the pictures that rhymed and writing the initial sound of pictures. Letter dictation of lower case letters was completed. After listening to a riddle that described animals, Jack confidently identified the animal. Additionally, we worked on pattern completion. Jack particularly enjoyed a game in which he got to take two steps every time he said the sound of a given letter. We played the game until we arrived at the playground for the last few minutes. Jack was engaged and cooperative. I enjoyed working with him.
