We completed Max's Macbeth assignments during today's session. First, Max worked on the Macbeth vocabulary /literary terms essay. We then reviewed his outline on the pending question : Why is Act I scene (I) effective. Max drafted a topic sentence, and we discussed how to join each of his reasons or arguments by connecting words such as "furthermore, or additionally". I provided assistance in formulating more precise sentences and worked with Max in incorporating quotes from the play into his answer. Last, we examined next week's assignment which is a non-fiction reading comprehension assessment. I provided strategies for addressing the assessment questions, and we worked on the first question by underlining in the text correct responses to first assessment question.
