Lesson Outline
Richard was greeted in the cafeteria on time. He and SLP cleaned his work space in his classroom and discussed the benefits of having an organized and clean work space. Richard appeared more tired and irritable today. He was more defensive than usual. He required more verbal assistance overall during today's session. Richard became frustrated when verbal prompting for date/time activity was faded. Richard has demonstrated his competence in this subject has improved, requiring less cues. I strive to work in the area of "zone of proximal development" for my students. In addition, Richard required more frequent verbal and visual cues to accurately produce /s/ in all positions of the word during a semi structured task. He enjoys the topic of Pokemon therefore, this was utilized to make the topic less structured however he tends to speed up his rate of speech making his intelligibility decrease. When given the cues, Richard will temporarily over articulate his speech. Richard did well with possessives ('s). When attempting to do sequencing and word finding/vocab tasks, Richard became irritable. Conversational turn taking was targeted to conclude the session.
