Lesson Outline
Richard was greeted in the lobby, he transitioned well back to his room. He appeared happy today! Richard participated in all tasks with compliance. We reviewed the date/day of the week. Richard independently answered both questions accurately - he was very proud of himself. To complete a recall activity, he explained to me what he was doing in other therapies including ST yesterday. He said that him and his other SLP trialed his milkshakes. We discussed sequencing, naming ingredients, and explaining his favorites and why. Richard's attention to task and clarity of explanation was improved today. In addition, we covered /s/ in semi structured task (making up Pokemon scenarios with the /s/ word provided). Richard slowed his speech and over articulated with given a verbal cue to do so. /s/ was 80% in conversation today. We played the word finding activity (charardes pictures) but instead of acting it out, he had to explain what the object was using function and discriptors. He did much better with this today. We continue to work on vocabulary enrichment which will help with word finding and his difficulty when trying to explain novel things to listeners. He was a great participant today in therapy.
