Lesson Outline
Richard was greeted in the hallway. He was in a great mood for today's session. He made a lot of great communication social interactions today as he was very engaged. We are continuing to work on conversational turn taking with teachers/adults and peers. We quickly covered the date/day of the week. Richard independently named both. Following that task, we targeted auditory comprehension, answering questions appropriately, vocabulary enrichment, and sequencing. We read the book "Cloudy with a chance of meatballs". He LOVED this book. Richard's imagination was so fun to visit. We even created his own imaginary town called "Richard's Sweet Sky" - he wrote the title and drew an illustration of what his town would look like. This also targeted /s/ in conversation since there are two /s/ blends in the title of his town. This was a less demanding task because he was interested in the topic. His attention was fantastic today, requiring minimal redirection. This was a fun filled productive session with Richard today.
