I taught Jack for one hour today. First, he sequenced the alphabet using manipulative letters. I asked him to build his name and then asked him to make different words by changing one or two sounds (pack, pick, stick, stack). We played several games of Phonics Dice, in which Jack read CVC words. Jack read four decodable books from FlyLeaf publishing. He was very eager to read! To conclude, we played one round of sight-word Jenga.
