We began by reviewing sixteenth note rhythms in Alfred’s Snare Drum Method One, and then proceeded to the next lesson on playing eighth note and sixteenth note combinations. We also worked on 3 way coordination by playing the basic rock beat, and playing constant eighth notes on the hi hat with the right hand, quarter notes on beats 1 and 3 with the right foot, and playing quarter notes on beats 2 and 4 on the snare drum with the left hand.
