Mercer and I continued working on his tribute to Ten Hundred painting. Mercer placed carbon paper over his canvas, placed the image over the carbon paper, and traced the image to create a transfer to the canvas. Mercer removed the traced image and the carbon paper to reveal his work. Mercer was given some turquoise paint and instructed to paint the background of his image.
