Cabo worked on editing his compare and contrast essay. He rewrote the first paragraph to introduce a quote correctly. He worked on using transitional sentences that connect the thought from one sentence to the next. He also removed off topic information that did not support the thesis. We discussed appropriate diction appropriate for a formal essay. He then read two chapters of A Thousand Splendid Suns and we analyzed the conflicting laws for men and women in the Taliban run country of Afghanistan. Cabo discussed an important quote from chapter 47 and related it to the protagonist's life up to this point.
