We had a discussion about strategies to use when taking the SSAT test. We applied these techniques to his first attempt at writing an essay for the SSAT. He did a great job! We discussed time management, the use of a working title for his essay, and a working outline. We covered the importance of leaving enough time after finishing his essay for reviewing what he wrote and making the necessary corrections to grammar and punctuation. We worked on a sample analogy and synonym activity for the SSAT.
