Mercer was online today, and he did a great job. We reviewed his spelling words, their meanings, and homework for tonight. He completed an activity using his Wordly Wise words to find and match synonyms with these words. After discussing the definition of a noun, he learned that nouns fall into catagories. He worked on an activity where he had to locate the nouns in the sentences, and then explain if the noun was a person, place, thing, or idea. We then listened to chapter 5 of, "From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler." He needs to be prepared to answer written questions over chapters 4 and 5 tomorrow.
