Michael was in the computer room on FB when I went to look for him. He told me that he needed to send something for college or something (when I first had him for homework, he would make stuff up to try and get out of our homework class). He came to his room and said that he did all of his homework last night. I congratulated him.
He said he had some homework from Johanna and that he had E-mailed her.

We went out to look at the garden with Anne, Sheilagh and Mary for a few minutes. When I went back to his room (he said he wanted some coffee) he stayed there talking to Joey for a few minutes. I felt myself in a somewhat uncomfortable position of pressing him to simply come back to sit in his room with me.
I do not have a problem getting kids to do what they should. I am fine with pushing to have them do what is right, but in this instance, I felt some hesitation.
