Discuss the function of the circulatory system as it relates to transport, regulation, and protection.
List, discuss, and explain the main characteristics of the blood, including the amount, colors, pH, and viscosity.
From a diagram of whole blood centrifuged, indicate the amount of plasma and formed elements.
Begin a discussion of the plasma, the liquid part of the blood by explaining the importance of water as its main chemical component which allows most allows nutrients, metabolic wastes, hormones, antibodies and gases to be transported.
