AP Exam Review
Lesson Outline
Marcel and I were scheduled for a review session for AP United States history (even though he didn't take the AP US History class this year)as he plans to take the exam this Friday, May 6. We were not informed if Marcel would be here or on Teams for the lesson - but we often work around this. Marcel was not here at school nor was he logged on to Teams for our scheduled 1:30 -2:30pm lesson. I called and texted him through Teams and I sent an email to him via Microsoft Office, as well. We are also scheduled to meet tomorrow, 5/5 from 2:30 - 3:30pm. Marcel contacted me through Teams at 2:10pm. He was very apologetic about not being available for our 1:30pm class. He explained that he just lost track of time today.

Lesson Comments
Marcel took his AP U.S. Government exam this past Monday. He spent a long time on the multiple choice section (with his extended time, working 2 hours to answer 55 multiple choice practice questions). Completing assigned practice tests is so vital for preparation and helps students successfully complete this portion of the exam. Throughout our time together, Marcel was resistant to completing assigned practice tests. Even with practice multiple choice questions during our lessons, he slowed himself down with too much questioning and even arguing over answers he got correct or attempting to argue with the College Board. In addition to extended time, students MUST practice with these tests, as well.
