Lesson Outline
The session commenced with Chris sharing that he was very tired, and that he "was up really late, the AC was hot." Subsequent probing for more details regarding the AC were moderately successful, as Chris rapidly shifted topics. He was eager to share details regarding the "status" of the various "You Tube" video series that he has been working on. Conversation today was an expansion on a previous sessions' discussion. Support and familiar scaffolding strategies were provided to assist Chris with increased organization and sequential presentation of ideas, story lines, and characters. He was observably tired, and topic shifts were frequent. Supports to enhance the use of familiar topic shift phrases, while encouraging the aspects of self reflection, as well as the acknowledgement of communication partner non verbal cues and gestures were facilitative in shaping a more successful conversational exchange.
