Today, Andrew and I got to know each other, and discussed the syllabus for English II. We went over the 5 units of study we will be covering, which are The Hero's Journey, Shakespearean Play, graphic novel, African-American literature, and short stories. We discussed that we will be compiling a portfolio of work for the course, and will create a quote-book notebook that will encourage active reading and will also assist in our essay writing for the course. We started organizing our portfolio to include tabs for vocabulary, grammar, notes, hand-outs and novel study.
