Precalculus starts in Chapter 1 of the book (after the introductory chapter). But chapter 1 is mainly a review of more advanced concepts from algebra. Since Landon has already done algebra and has retained it, we were able to move quickly. We first discussed Landon's homework for Section 1.2. We then reviewed Sections 1.3 (The Twelve Basic Functions) and 1.4 (Building Functions from Functions). Landon was engaged and quick to understand the subject matter.
