Today, Atticus and I completed our daily gardening log observations and measurements. We then introduced our next unit on the cell. We researched what the largest and smallest organisms are. We then discussed what both of these organisms have in common: they are made of a cell/cells. We discussed attributes unicellular organisms have in common, and what unicellular and multicellular organisms have in common. We watched a video of mitosis: cell division. We discussed that mitosis is when a unicellular organisms replicates itself, and multicellular organisms use mitosis to repair cells.
