Today, Andrew and I reviewed the topic of this unit, The Hero's Journey. I explained that it's a formula used throughout history and in all cultures' literatures. We then read part-way through a commonlit.org article on the hero's journey, pausing for comprehension checks, answering the guiding questions, and taking notes on the stages of the monomyth.
