Today, Atticus and I completed our daily gardening log observations. We then continued our discussion of the cell. We reviewed our notes from yesterday, discussing what mitosis is (cell division) and how it occurs (the cell replicates its own DNA, then divides it). He drew a picture of an animal cell and labeled the organelles. We discussed what organelles are and began discussing the functions of each organelle in a cell.
