I gave Sam an absolute value inequality to solve. Then I went over the slope-intercept form of a linear equation. I showed him how to graph it, find the slope, and find the equation from a graph. Next we went over how to find the slope from two points with the slope formula. Then we went over how to find an equation of a line that passes through two points if neither is the y-intercept. Next we learned the properties of quadratic functions in standard form. I explained how to find the axis of symmetry, vertex, and y-intercept from the standard form of a quadratic equation. In order for Sam to complete the end-of-chapter quiz on quadratics and zero product property I located videos on each concept. I emailed him each video and the end-of-chapter quiz.
