The plan was to do a few problems on factoring and solving polynomial expressions and equations. I was then going to guide Sam through polynomial long division and synthetic division. This would act as an introduction to both the remainder and the factor theorems and allow him to factor polynomials more easily. Unfortunately, Sam was not present for either in-person or virtual instruction. There was no assignment.

Lesson would have consisted of defining the elements of the plot triangle and applying them to the novel Of Mice and Men. Sam had a take home quiz due today. Sam was ABSENT.
Sam and I worked on problems using techniques of factoring such as factoring by grouping and use of quadratic forms for higher level polynomials. We also solved equations from fully factored polynomials. Several of the factored forms only became fully factored after further use of basic techniques were applied. There was no assignment.
