We reviewed the steps to simplify a radical expression and went over some of the more difficult problems. Then we learned that you cannot have a radicand in the denominator of a radical expression. Sam learned that to simplify these type of problems you may need to rationalize the denominator. Then we practiced multiplying the numerator and denominator by the radical in the denominator to make it a perfect square.
