Lesson Outline
We worked on activities addressing Santino's ability to express his needs more effectively and purposefully by creating sentences using the proper parts of speech. Santino created some simple sentences using small units of words, given verbal and physical prompts. He is also reinforced for making and sustaining eye contact when communicating and during social greets. We worked using different writing implements to target and strengthen Santino's fine motor, grip strength, and muscle memory. He prefers using the chunky finger crayons as they allow him greater control when writing. Santino was in good spirits and had to defer immediate gratification today when his preferred I-pad was not properly charged. However, he adjusted to the change upon learning it needed time to charge. We enjoyed a fun Friday, with Santino singing and sustaining the final note of a song in a strong vibrato voice.
