Continuing our essay writing progression, we reviewed the steps to prepare an essay and placed the essay outline on the board. I then discussed how to elaborate on the outline's examples by discussing the consequences of the examples. In this regard, I reiterated the proper use of transitional phrases and words like " as a result, therefore ,and consequently." Atticus then finished his introduction and worked on drafting a second paragraph that detailed the absence of freedom of choice in a dystopian community. We last reviewed Atticus' study guide answers and discussed where and why revisions were necessary in order to conform with the textual meaning of the novel.
