We will resume our unit on European Imperialism tomorrow. Today we checked in on the war in Ukraine. as temperatures drop across Ukraine, Russia’s recurrent bombardments are making life more difficult for the millions of people who still live in and around Kyiv – and raising fears about winter ahead. “Barbarians are attacking our energy,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, after another day of strikes. “But I am sure we will go through this darkness courageously, and with dignity.” Zelensky has led efforts to secure international assistance as his country prepares for a cold and painful winter.
