Session Date
Lesson Topic
Elevated Vocabulary, Irregular Present Tense Verbs and Adjective Agreement
Lesson Outline
Using Quizlet, Lilly and I reviewed the previous list of elevated vocabulary we had last explored several weeks ago at our last session. I then shared with Lilly a new list of elevated terms featuring several false cognates, their true meanings and the correct equivalents. After exploring these terms, we matched them with the French definitions. We then moved on to our review of irregular present tense verbs that we have been studying for several weeks now and expanded her verb base with the verb "faire." Lastly, we reviewed the function and placement of adjectives before exploring more adjective meanings. At our next session, we will break down adjective agreement and begin using these terms to describe.
Assignment
Lilly should study the irregular verbs we have explored as well as the elevated vocabulary terms.

Lesson Comments
While I enjoy working with Lilly and her attitude has improved during our sessions together, she simply does not study. She had promised me that she would really buckle down with her French studies in early December, but a month later, she still has not reviewed in her own time any of the material we have covered. I texted her mother after our last session and asked her to please make sure Lilly studied specific material, which was not much. Lilly said this was not relayed to her. Her plan is to study the week before the IB exam, which I tried to explain is not nearly enough for her to succeed. I will push forward and continue to teach her, but since she does not review any of the material, when we begin each session, it is as if we are starting from scratch and we lose precious time together.
